About Us

Närhälsan Guldvingen health center is one of several health centers in the Västra Götaland region that has been entrusted with the additional assignment of Youth Mental Health (UPH) after being a project for several years.

The assignment consists of providing early and short treatment interventions to children and young people aged 6-17 years with mild to moderate mental health issues.

About the Job

As a psychologist at Närhälsan Guldvingen Youth Mental Health, you will encounter a wide spectrum of children and families with very varying issues. Our workgroup operates in a multidisciplinary manner, including psychologists, psychotherapists, and social workers. We collaborate closely in a group with broad and high competence. You will work in a team with many years of therapeutic experience with the possibility of a flexible working method. You will have the opportunity to significantly influence your work regarding digital work or work on-site at our clinic.

Your Responsibilities

Your main tasks consist of assessing, diagnosing, and treating children and adolescents with mental health issues. Common conditions among patients you will encounter as a psychologist include anxiety, depression, relationship issues, phobias, obsessive-compulsive issues, and PTSD. You will have the opportunity to work with internet-based therapy, individual and group psychological treatment, as well as family therapy. In your work, you will regularly be offered supervision. You and your colleagues share responsibility with the manager for the health center's development in an ongoing improvement process.

About You

You are a licensed psychologist with a focus on CBT and have at least one year of experience working with children and adolescents. Previous experience as a psychologist at the primary care level, integrated behavioral health, and stepped care is advantageous. Experience with internet-based psychological treatment or group therapies is also meritorious.

We are looking for someone who takes initiative and actively wants to participate in the development work of the organization. You organize and plan your work effectively based on set goals and ensure quality assurance of mental health work at the health center.

In your work, you will meet many different patients, so it is important that you are accommodating, attentive, and have a good approach. You thrive in teamwork, and for you, it is a given to collaborate with colleagues and other partners in the work.

About the Recruitment Process

The selection process consists of two steps. The first selection is made by recruiters in the HR department who call relevant candidates for a phone interview. Thereafter, the recruiting manager makes a second selection of the applicants and invites them for an interview at the health center.

We use competency-based interviews, which means that the answers to the questions should be based on actual situations. It is important that you describe as concrete situations as possible and try to avoid generalized answers – this is to help us understand the situation, why you acted as you did, and what the outcome was.
